New beginnings

As I predicted, Seth Rollins lines himself up as Big E’s next challenger but KO, Balor and Rey all want their shot at the WWE Championship as well. Big E might have a problem as champ if he lets anyone outshine him and this roster has the potential to do that. Balor is forever over and Rey is a legend. Kevin Owens is a fan favorite as well. Seth Rollins is the man and is over no matter what spot you put him at.

Here to show the world

Street Profits vs Dirty Dawgs vs Alpha Academy

Omos sabotaged the Profits and the Dirty Dawgs get a title opportunity later but the real story is that Alpha Academy didn’t do more. I like the side feud that the Street Profits have going with AJ and Omos. At least these teams are being used on television.

All hail the queen

Zelina vs Doudrop

Zelina cheats to beat Doudrop. Good idea to do that here instead of at Crown Jewel. This rematch hurts Raw though, people want fresh matches, which is why I don’t want to see Bianca vs Becky again. Doudrop could have had a squash match and Zelina could have had one as well, save the cheating for bigger matches.

Damian Priest[c] vs T Bar

New music for Priest gives him an edge but it also changed his character. The new titan Troy and pose is a good change for the US champ as well.. If you ask me, he is too gentle as a babyface, I like him muchore as a big confident heel that is cool and calm. He beatdown T Bar and just left him, maybe it was a double turn for both guys. They both need to spice things up, Priest isn’t that well received as a face so I’m ok with the different

Liv vs Carmella

New music for Carmella, I’m feeling it but it was unnecessary. And to be honest, I’m so sick of this feud. Carmella wins and it sets Liv Morgan back again. She keeps getting resets. I’m hoping Bianca loses and faces Nia Jax or something other big time heel, leaving the title picture open for a true underdog babyface to beat Becky for the title. That also opens up heel challengers like Zelina Vega if Liv moves into the title picture.

Theory vs Dominick

I wanted to see a longer match, Dom needs some high quality television matches as a singles competitor and Theory is just the guy to give it to him. Austin Theory may be Dominick’s nemesis. Theory needs a new finisher, maybe some sort of submission to really make him a mega heel; look at MJF and Salt of the Earth.

RK-BRO vs The Dirty Dawgs

An easy enough win for Riddle and Orton. I would like to see Orton and Riddle drop the titles randomly and get them back really quickly. They need a little more adversity to galvanize them as a team.

Fatal 4 way

Ladder match

The entire show was built around this match and it delivered. Finn was lacking in this match but everyone else was killing it; Kevin Owens looked great. As the only heel in the match, the odds were against Rollins but he was the only heel in the match so the outcome was kind of a given.

Honorable mentions

  1. Bianca and Becky fight and the match is made for the title next week.

  2. Bearcat Lee beats Cedrick Alexander.

Final take

Things are building but the show was a little lackluster to me. The main event was the sort of thing Raw needs to be known for going forward. Seth Rollins is money, the show needs to be centered around someone with a strong personality like Seth’s. If we get a title change, Raw won’t be hurt by it at all.
