Nikki A.S.H is over and she did it with her creative ideas, it must really hurt the internet wrestling community. It’s nice to see wrestlers living their dreams. Of course Charlotte had to spoil the celebration. I like how Nikki just undermines everything Charlotte says with her energy alone. There was a bit of a technical issue, great recovery by Charlotte though. Rhea Riley wants a match with Nikki as well so at Summerslam we will have a triple threat match. The segment was long however, the crowd played along.

Damian Priest vs Sheamus[c]

Why have a contender’s match against the champ himself? WWE has been doing a great job with the special effects for entrances, they got another right with Priest’s entrance. Priest wins, too predictable and he isn’t nearly as over as he needs to be to win that championship.

Styles[c] & Omos[c] vs Vikings Raiders

The veteran Styles is picked apart until Omos gets his hands on his opponents. I’m not a fan of Omos, he just yells and can not work whatsoever. Ditch Omos and get some real talent that can work.

Drew vs Veer

Jinder has some bodyguards that are here to put in work. Veer has some moves and I’m glad they allowed him to show what he can do, getting in some good offense. The lawyer of Jinder had to be punished though so goes the rules of wrestling.

Eva & Doudrop vs Tamina[c] & Natalya[c]

Lilly gives the Champs the assist so no title shot for the newbies. I wanted Eva to win, she would be good for the tag division. Natalya hurt her leg and needed to be carried away. Perhaps Eva and Doudrop will get the titles because it looks like Natalya will be on the shelf for a while; that’s a shame.

Keith Lee vs Karrion Kross[c]

A good match, good continuation of the rivalry they’ve had since their battle for the NXT title. Kross wins but more importantly, Keith Lee lost again. I’m not sure what’s going on but something is going on with Lee, I believe it’s a storyline. Maybe he joins the new Hurt Business or maybe he’ll just ask for his release by the end of the year. He hasn’t been there as long as Nikki A.S.H, Nikki is now a champ. Keith Lee may want to hang in there a while longer.

Mace & TBar vs Mansoor & Ali

A strange match considering that Retribution was a thing earlier this year. Ali was great as always and Mansoor gets the win. One of the more interesting stories they have on the show and it needs more of a spotlight.

That bit of business had to hurt

Cedrick Alexander and Shelton Benjamin want some action so Lashley takes them both on. It kind of buries them but who really cares about those two guys at the moment?

Matt Riddle vs Morrison

The match was okay, had its shenanigans. Riddle is definitely going to be one of the next big stars. This match was to set up a feud between RK-Bro and the tag team champions. The crowd chants for Orton to save Tiddle but they were disappointed.

Reginald[c] vs R Truth

Reggie makes the 24/7 title make sense now and he is a lot of fun to watch. Using a talent for their specific talent is what this company should be doing full-time. R Truth was his usual self, this time he did it while on the mic, something I haven’t seen before but I’m intrigued.

Charlotte vs Nikki A.S.H[c]

The match was alright but it just wasn’t good enough. Charlotte wins outright and uts a big mistake, Charlotte already has a match that was made and confirmed by Sonya and Adam so why give her a clean win? This is why Charlotte will never be recognized by the majority of fans as anything more than an overused talent because she wins EVERYTHING and there is no real reason for it. It hurts everyone else and makes her completely insufferable.

Honorable mentions

  1. Wwe has been doing a great job with the special effects for entrances

Final take

Not the best Raw, not terrible though. Some new acts getting over is exactly what’s needed. Some long segments that didn’t work but Raw is definitely going through some growing pains.
