Styles[c] vs Riddle

Good opener, not sure why Riddle lost clean though. When you have an out you should use it, that’s why it’s there. WWE needs to use wins and losses in a better fashion. Riddle always looks good but Styles as champion did need to win the match.

Nikki A.S.H[c] vs Rhea Ripley

Another rematch.

Rhea is definitely over with the live crowds. I don’t think she was at first, people just wanted to see the classics rolled out one after another after not seeing them live for so long. Charlotte upstaged the match by coming out last and sitting at the commentary table. The mat h was even better than before. Rhea beats Nikki clean?! I understand the story they are telling, I just don’t think that pinning your champion multiple times is the right way to tell that story. Charlotte gets beatdown this time and that leads to a tag match later.

Drew McIntyre vs Veer & Shanky

ANOTHER fucking rematch!

Killer promo by Drew after the match but did we really need to bury 2 wrestlers at the same time again? Jinder, Drew and 3MB deserve better than this.

Moist TV

The water puns are too much. Morrison has Miz on as a guest and shit gets real when Morrison asks the real hard hitting questions like, was the Miz faking injury The entire time? Damian Priest interrupts and wants some action which leads to an impromptu match. Priest pins Miz but not without an appearance by Sheamus.

Omos[c] vs Orton

The match was a setup to just beat down the Viper. So right on time Riddle saves Orton and just like that, RKBro is reborn. They are definitely winning the titles at Summerslam. Maybe they split Omos and Styles afterwards, maybe they turn one of them, who knows? My guess is, Omos ends up on SmackDown or something.

Nikki A.S.H[c] & Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte & Nia Jax

Charlotte and Nia team up, the skirt and overall gear change really works for Nia. Nia was feeling herself, she had great energy, I like Charlotte and Nia as a team, they make a lot of sense, fashion sense. Charlotte pins Rhea, she wins everything. I believe that means she’s going to lose at Summerslam. When the champ is constantly outshined, the promotion is going to have big problems in the future.

Face to face

Another face to face, that’s like 5 this month. Goldberg says that what Lashley is saying is bullshit, nice pop for that. I’m impressed with the level of promos Goldberg has delivered during this feud. A spear capped off the night, leaving Bobby laying.

Honorable mentions

1. Elias vignette, let’s hope he returns to being the Drifter.

2. San Antonio was a great crowd.

3. Prerecorded 24/7 title drama.

4. Eva slaps Piper Niven(Doudrop).

5. Kross squashes Hardy.

Final take

The rematches have to stop. If WWE sells I would love to see how another corporation handles the booking. I wonder how much more creative or how lazy they would be.. can’t be worse than the same match every week. This didn’t feel like a go home show before Summerslam but it was still decent.
