Shots fired

Shotzi Blackheart is here and just in time. The crowd immediately got behind her. Some new blood to the women’s division sounds good to me. While Charlotte is the talk of the town for all of the wrong reasons, there are others that should shine. It is nice to see that Charlotte has seemed to finally have gotten her look fine tuned. Sasha is cool but she needs to elevate the main card, they also need to create a midcard title for the women’s division, it is absolutely necessary.

Now to the match…

Charlotte[c] vs Shotzi

Shotzi Blackheart has some height on her, it helps Charlotte be more confident in her matches when her opponents are more of her size. Shotzi is still a little slow, a little green but she looks good on the big stage. That dive was still pretty bad from her. I like Shotzi vs Sasha, heel or face, she is the next big thing. I love all of the stuff Shotzi yells, she just enjoys every moment, we don’t get enough of that on the main roster.

King’s Court

Hit Row spit hot fire for King Woods.

The Usos get sick of the clown show and interrupt Kofi’s knighthood ceremony. This rivalry was among the best I’d ever seen of any tag teams in my life. These teams could battle for over a year and it wouldn’t matter, it would be great every single time they interacted. New Day win the main event match later in the show.

Trick or Street Fight

Corbin & Moss vs Nakamura & Boogs

This match is always filled with props,, its a good gimmick match to entertain the crowd and kill a lot of time and it doesn’t have to have anything riding on it. Pat McAfee eats with Boogs and Nakamura before the commercial break and it’s pretty damn entertaining. Garza and Carillo cost Boogs the match when they attacked him with Kendo sticks disguised as ghouls.

Heel turn please

Naomi vs Shayna Baszler

Sonya guest refs the match,

Naomi botches a move off of the ropes and the crowd boos a bit, this is why Naomi needs to change her style up a bit or she has to go away. The attitude from the backstage interview is what we need from Naomi, she needs to turn heel. Properly used, Naomi could be a major player in the women’s division but can she find that same magic Roman has?

Roman holiday

No Roman on the show tonight. The champ deserves a break and the Usos held it down and also made the Bloodline look vulnerable which helps out Roman quite a bit. I personally think that Goldberg should face Roman since they were gonna do it anyway so hopefully next week there is a4 least a tease of that natch. They should hold off on The Rock and Drew for as long as possible, Jeff Hardy may most likely be the very next challenger for the Universal Championship, that’s a great choice if you ask me.

Honorable mentions

  1. Adam Pearce fines Brock 1 million dollars

  2. Mustafa Ali accepts Drew’s challenge.

  3. Xia Li vignette.

Final take

The show was a great double that drove in another run for SmackDown. Solid matches, solid stories and fresh blood; that’s what makes a good show great.
