Taking on all challengers

Sasha Banks explains herself while Zelina Vega tells Bianca that she owes her a match because she accepted her challenge. I like how Belair is ready for whatever comes her way but she needs to work on her cadence, it’s predictable.

Dominick vs Jey Uso[c]

Jey wins but Dominick is still the one that the focus is on. Dominick is just getting his losses in while he still can because I believe he will be a Jeff Hardy type underdog that they will put over later.

King Nakamura vs Apollo[c]

Boogs is over with everyone at home and in the crowds. Another non ending gives Shinsuke a chance to stay strong and protected while the feud builds. I’m hoping Nakamura gets another run even if it’s brief. After the IC run I’d like to see Shinsuke wrestle Roman in a strongstyle match for the ages.

Street Profits vs The Dirty Dawgs

Profits win clean. Good win to reestablish the Profits as a top team but it won’t do much for Ziggler and Roode. I’m not sure what I want to see the Street Profits do besides wrestle the Usos for the title a couple of times. After that, I don’t really know what they are gonna do. The Dirty Dawgs can go from 0 to 100 pretty quickly so I’m not as worried with them as perhaps I should be.

Zelina vs Bianca Belair[c]

I’m glad they let Vega work, finally we saw her in a favorable spot, in a good match that showcased her talent. Bianca wins clean even though Sasha came out. A big opportunity to keep Vega protected but the short-sighted booking will do what it has to to get to its next goal.

Balor vs Baron

Of course Corbin tried to back out of the match but gets beatdown instead. Balor calls out Roman after his match and said he’ll go through John Cena to do it if he has to. The chief answers that call but let’s his cousins do the dirty work. The crowd chants chants Cena multiple times but after Balor took out the Usos Reigns turned around to face Balor; the crowd turned as well, they were all about Finn at this point. Roman stands tall after the beatdown but what does it all mean?

Honorable mentions

  1. The crowd was easy-going tonight.

  2. Edge and Seth have words and make their match official.

Final take

A very strong show for the superior brand in WWE. There were a couple of booking issues that I disagreed with but nothing is perfect. The crowd was great and so was the show.
